Although there are a number of stores that will open their doors on Easter, consumers can expect most malls across the nation to be closed. However, many big box retailers and grocery store will be open either regular business hours or special holiday hours.

Walmart and Walmart Super Centers — open
KMart and Sears — open
CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid – most locations will be open, some with limited holiday hours.
Lowe's and Home Depot — open
Kroger, Stop & Shop, Safeway, Trader Joe's, Winn Dixie, Whole Foods — open (call for hours, some stores close as early as 5 p.m.).
Stores Closed Easter Sunday 2016
Target, Costco, JC Penney, Nordstrom, Dillards, Saks Fifth Avenue, Michael's Crafts, Jo-Anne's Fabrics, Neiman Marcus, Best Buy, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Macy's are all closed on Easter.
Expect malls to be closed on Sunday — that means no shopping at popular stores like Old Navy, American Eagle, Pink/Victoria's Secret, Gap, Express and other mall retailers.
While the grocery stores listed above will be open, Publix and HEB will be closed on Easter Sunday.
