Besides being one of baseball's greatest but most controversial players, Alex Rodriguez has also dated a string of A-list female celebrities.
Before and after his 2008 divorce from the mother of his two daughters, the New York Yankees' slugger dated, among others, Madonna, Kate Hudson and Cameron Diaz.
Now, in a departure from his usual type, he is reportedly dating Anne Wojcicki, the brainy, billionaire ex-wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin and herself the co-founder and chief executive officer of the personal genetics testing company, 23andMe.
Page Six reported that the two have been going out for over a month. The couple was at Graydon Carter's pre-Super Bowl gathering in San Francisco, and A-Rod was in the audience when Wojcicki spoke at a recent satellite event for the Annual Clinical Genetics Meeting in Tampa.
TMZ on Monday said it has published the first photo of Rodriguez and Wojcicki out in public together.
It shows the two of them at a late lunch Sunday at Green Lemon, a Mexican restaurant in Tampa, Fla., near where the Yankees hold spring training.
TMZ's sources say the two were at the restaurant for more than an hour, "holding hands and acting couply the entire time."
The photo specifically shows Wojcicki, whose home is in Los Altos Hills, with her arm around A-Rod while the two eat their meal.
Rodriguez, 40, is starting his 22nd year in baseball. He sat out all of the 2014 season for a performance-enhancing drug suspension and has reportedly said he will play through the 2017 season. He has 687 career home runs and is aiming to surpass Babe Ruth's 714 homer mark, possibly this year, and then Barry Bonds' record of 762.
The Yankees' season opener is Monday, April 4.
Wojcicki was married to Brin from 2007 to 2015. Their divorce settlement reportedly made her a billionaire. They have one son and a daughter together.
