R&B singer Kehlani tells of suicide try amid rumors she cheated on ex-boyfriend

Kehlani Parrish apparently attempted suicide Monday after rumors surfaced that the R&B singer had cheated on her ex-boyfriend, Cleveland Cavalier point-guard Kyrie Irving, with rapper, PartyNextDoor.

The 20-year-old singer revealed a suicide try by posting her own photo -- showing herself in a hospital bed, hooked up to an IV -- and followed up with an explanation that nobody had cheated on anybody.

"Today I wanted to leave this earth. Being completely selfish for once. Never thought I'd get to such a low point," wrote Kehlani, who was Grammy-nominated this year for best urban contemporary album for "You Should Be Here."

Kehlani then pulled a Rob Kardashian and deleted all of her Instagram pictures. In fact, all the social-media posts mentioned in this story have since been deleted. There are now 2 million people following her completely empty Instagram page.

"Don't believe the blogs you read .. No one was cheated on and I'm not a bad person... everyone is hurt and everyone is in a place of misunderstanding.. But as of today, I had no single wish to see tomorrow," the singer wrote on social media "But God saved me for a reason and for that... I must be grateful.. Cuz I'm not in heaven right now for a reason... On that note.. Bye Instagram."

Kehlani also thanked PartyNextDoor, who posted a photo of himself in bed with her. "After all her shenanigans, still got the r&b singer back in my bed," he wrote.

The hashtag #StayStrongKehlani was trending on Twitter.

After months of rumors that they were dating, the singer and the NBA player had made their relationship Instagram official in January. But apparently they weren't all the way in love. At least that's what she said early last month in an interview with ILY, a "digital magazine about love." Irving was making her "very very happy" but she was "trying not to get too excited or get too crazy about the hype of everything."

Somewhere between then and now, Kehlani and Irving broke up, but apparently didn't go public with that news. Then up popped the picture from PartyNextDoor (real name is Jahron Brathwaite) with Kehlani. And so the hounds were unleashed.

"Went through a bad breakup and ended up easing into a relationship with a man who was one of my bestfriend. Tho we realized we both weren't exactly at a time where we were prepared to do so," Kehlani would later explain. "No I'm not a CHEATER, a THOT, im a BELIEVER IN FOLLOWING YOUR HEART and not LYING TO YOURSELF. And in all aspects on everyone's side, EVERYONE IS HAPPY AND HONEST AND MATURE. Social media is the ... evil. Go outside and play, you have your own lives to live that don't revolve around 'celebrities' or 'socialites' who are simply tring to live lives just like you."

She'd been way more enthusiastic about social media before the tide turned against her. But as social media giveth, so does social media taketh away.

"I'm still very emotional via social media. But, as far as social media, I think I've learned to only say things that could possibly be transferable to other people in forms of lessons, rather than making it so personal to where people can't relate," the singer said in that ILY interview.

Kehlani acknowledged that it could be difficult sharing a relationship in the realm of Twitter and Instagram.

"I think it's hard, because you have to balance dealing with feedback and people trying to interfere and people knowing your business. Everyone wants to enjoy and be cute with who they’re with."

Guess that last bit goes for the guy as well as the girl? Though his "shenanigans" post is gone, PartyNextDoor's Instagram remains active.

Cute.
