El Clasico Highlights: Real Madrid beats Barcelona 2-1 at Camp Nou

Late-game heroics that included a game-winning goal by Cristiano Ronaldo helped Real Madrid record a 2–1 victory over Barcelona at Camp Nou on Saturday evening. The result ends Barcelona's record unbeaten run of 39 games.

Gerard Pique broke the scoreless tie with a header in the 56th minute of the game, only to be answered by Karim Benzema moments later.

Barcelona had a few opportunities off of corner kicks before Pique finally found the net from about eight yards out, beating Pepe to the ball from Ivan Rakitic's corner.

The goal came just moments after Lionel Messi was robbed on a chip attempt by Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas.

Real Madrid responded very quickly through Benzema after a pass from Toni Kroos was deflected and volleyed into the air. Benzema turned in an acrobatic overhead kick to beat Claudio Bravo for his 21st goal in La Liga this season.

Drama started to unfold late in the game with a disallowed goal by Garreth Bale and a red card issued to Sergio Ramos.

Cristiano Ronaldo broke the tie with his 16th career goal in El Clasico.

Since 2009, Ronaldo has 254 goals in 231 La Liga games. Messi also has 254 goals in 231 La Liga games, according to SportingIntel.
